This ceremony is proudly sponsored by Italian American Veterans Post #1 and the Nathan Perry Chapter, NSDAR, who will present commemorative lapel pins and certificates to Persian Gulf War Veterans.

  • Any veteran on active duty between 1990 to 1991 is eligible regardless of location of their service.

  • Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Elyria Veterans Memorial, Ely Square Park, Broad Street & Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio.

  • Sign-in begins at 2 p.m. with the ceremony beginning at 3 p.m.

Aug. 7, 8, 9: North Ridgeville Corn Festival Booth: All donations will go toward Wreaths Across America. With a $30 donation, you get an American 250 etched slate coaster or an American 250 water bottle.

Sept. 5, 11 a.m.: Hometown Spirit Parade in Grafton, Ohio

 

Sept. 11: 25th Anniversary of 9/11, Flags of Honor in Cleveland and delivery of donuts to local police and fire depts.

Sept. 15-24th: American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit at the North Ridgeville Branch Library. Click here for the exhibition website. Sept. 15:  Special American Revolution Experience special member's preview. North Ridgeville Branch Library, 35700 Bainbridge Road, North Ridgeville.

Sept. 17, 4 p.m.: Constitution Week, Ringing of the Bells at Lakeveiw Park, Lorain, Ohio. Open to the public. We will have some bells to share but if you can bring your own.

Sept. 26, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Fall Festival at Sandstone Village, Amherst. Visit our booth and learn about our chapter.

Oct. 10, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Vet Fest by Charlie's Wishes, Ely Square, Elyira, Ohio.

Oct. 17, 4-7p.m.:  

The Nathan Perry Chapter upcoming Steak Fry with Spirit on October 17, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at American Legion Post #30, located at 112 W. Erie Ave., Lorain, Ohio. This lively community event invites guests to help the chapter commemorate America 250 by supporting its mission of historic preservation, education, and patriotism throughout Lorain County.

​

Guests will have the option to either dine in or pick up a delicious steak meal which includes steak, baked potato, salad, dessert, and coffee. The fee is $25 per person. In addition to the mouthwatering feast, the event will feature entertainment by DJ Mike Wheeler. All proceeds will go toward local veterans support, student awards, scholarships, JROTC recognition, historical preservation projects and community education programs.

Nov. 11, 1 p.m.: If Tombstones Could Talk, in collaboration with the Main Street Grafton, Grafton Library, and the Firelands Bicentennial Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution. Actors portray three Revolutionary War soldiers buried at Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton, Ohio.

Cemeteries include Elmwood Cemetery and Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio; Resthaven Memory Gardens and Avon Cemetery in Avon; Fields, St. Peters and North Ridgeville Cemeteries  in North Ridgeville, Ohio.
